Will this work on my car?
Our Flamethrower kits will work on any vehicle, car, motor bike, truck, jap import, hot rod, classic or even just your standard family/get around car.
How big are the flames?
You can expect flames between 15cm and about 60cm allthough you can get them bigger on some cars.
How do the Flamethrowers work?
The flame throwers light up fuel coming out of the exhaust pipe at the tip, the flamethrowers can be turned on and off by a switch that you can put anywhere you can access it.
Is It legal?
There is no law against the fitment of our flamethrower kit to your car but they are for off road use only. Cops just don't like these things for some reason???? So to be safe just dont go shooting big flames while your driving around on public roads, having them fitted is fine.
How long before i can be shooting flames?
Delivery will take between 2 - 7 days and installation takes under an hour.
Is it hard to install the flamethrower kit?
No it is very easy to install and set up and you should be able to do it yourself in about an hour with the easy to follow full step by step instructions that are included.
How do i get the flamethrowers installed?
Normally people fit the kits themselves following the included instruction. If you would rather have them installed for you, you can take them to any mechanic or auto electrician and they will be able to fit them for you.
Can I change the size of the flames and turn the flames off?
Yes you have full control over the size of the flames and have a on/off switch for them.
What do they work really well on?
Jap Imports work really well with this setup especially cars like nissan skylines, 300zx's, silvia's, 180's, 200sx's, Toyota mr2's, supra's, soarar's, mitsubishi lancer's, GTO's and all other imports. A engine with turbo will enhance the flames and they will allso work fine if nos is setup.
Holden's and Ford's allso work really well with the flamethrower setups because of there big engines especially the v8 engines and hsv's are great for getting big flames.
By far the best cars for flaming are cars with carburetted engines, all older cars with carbies will shoot flames as big as you want.
What about the catalytic converter?
The biggest restriction to your flames is the catylitic converter(cat) that is installed on late model cars to burn off excess fuel before it leaves the exaust system, because the flamethrower system relies on unburnt fuel coming out the exaust to create flames the cat may reduce the size of flame you will get. After cat's get over a couple years old normally they have deteriorated so much inside that they hardly do anything anymore and wont be a problem but if they are still reducing unburnt fuel they will have a negetive effect on the flames. To improve flames significantly these could be removed or cleaned out(which allso improves engine power ) We cant gaurantee the performance of our flamethrowers on your vehicle if you have a fully functioning cat.
A word about safety!
When used as intended our flame throwers are safe, allways remember safety first and check whats behind you before you push that little red button. Dont tamper with, modify or add to the system we supply.
